To me, scented candles are a vital part of fall, winter, and Christmas – I love them. As they are part of the décor of a room, candles should of course be beautiful, and their scents based on essential oils. I personally prefer candles made from plant based waxes.

Santa’s little helper had a run-in with the Big Bad Wolf, who kindly pointed her in the direction of the Isle of Wolf scented candles, available at Natural Goods Company. These aromatherpeutic candles are 100% natural, encased in beautiful black or white glass, and perfect for any style of décor.

There are six different scents; three in black, three in white. My personal favorite is the relaxing Lavender Garden, with English lavender. Cinnamon Spice contains a warming blend of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and orange scents, making it the perfect thing for creating a little Christmas atmosphere.

For something dreamier, I would go for Rose Absolute – a classic mix of rose, fruit, and green leaves, with a hint of powder and musk.

Sensual Peony, an ode to a blooming and bedewed spring garden, is the most tempting of the white candles. Pink peony, lilac, and mimosa give a sense of joy, happiness, and romance, while ylang-ylang creates a charming and seductive atmosphere (romantic dinner, anyone?).

The cool freshness of white tea and rainy cotton fields in White Tea & Linen is cut with the sweet-sour scent of absinthe, and rounded off with hints of cedar and patchouli.

Hibiscus Orangery is a uniquely lively and refreshing combination of ripe hibiscus fruit, blood grape fruit, tangerine, and pomegranate, with a touch of peach and toffee. The mood-lifting fragrance stimulates a sense of joy and happiness.

Which do you think is your favorite?
