This is a sponsored collaboration with PÜR Hyvinvointikauppa
Woohoo, the new site is now up and running! Right on time for the first sponsored collaboration on the blog, too, with a company both lovely and fascinating.
How many of you are familiar with PÜR Hyvinvointikauppa? The company, which has a store next to the Tavastia Club in Kamppi, was in fact established as early as 1996 with a different name, Circulum Farmasia, and I believe a lot of older customers still refer to it by the old name. PÜR Farmasia on Hämeentie in Hakaniemi is the sister store to the one in Kamppi, and specializes in homeopathic and anthroposophical medicine. The company also has medicine wholesale and production licenses, and the store on Hämeentie carries some less common homeopathic medicines, made on location.
I first heard of PÜR about a year ago, when Romppu was diagnosed with stomach cancer and we began treating it with homeopathic medicine. Homeopathic remedies have saved the tomcat’s life more than once over this past year, and provided relief from many other ailment, as well.
As its selection of homeopathic remedies is almost good enough to rival a pharmacists, I’ve become very familiar with the PÜR store in Kamppi. Besides homeopathic remedies, the store also offers a variety of vitamins and supplements, organic produce, an excellent assortment of gluten free products, hygiene products for men, women, and children, as well as ecological detergents. There is also a juice bar where you can get fresh juices, smoothies, raw cakes, snacks, and bulletproof coffee, all made from fresh organic ingredients.
Easily reached by bus, tram, metro, Kamppi’s PÜR is an oasis of holistic well-being, and with services including consultation with a nutritionist and a licensed dietitian, professional service is guaranteed.
But you’re probably curious about the selection of natural cosmetics PÜR has to offer. Let’s just say it is comprehensive, and the assortment of soaps is the best in town. What I love about PÜR’s selection of cosmetics is its uniqueness; a distinctive selection of products is what makes a store stand out from the next.
PÜR carries a wide range of mid-priced, high-quality brands, with Finnish ones including Mia Höytö Cosmetics, Flow Kosmetiikka, and the soap brand Doft.
French expertise is represented by chlorophyll-based Alorée, and the intoxicatingly scented and beautifully packaged Terre d’Oc. From across the pond we have the sumptuous, argan oil-based Kahina, charming Moksa Organics, as well as top natural hair care brand John Masters Organics, and soap and shower gel legend, Dr. Bronner’s.
British Neal’s Yard Remedies and German perfume brand Florascent are likewise amongst the store’s selection of cosmetics. Australian Zuii is available in the makeup section, whereas Weleda and John Masters provide for the men. The store also offers a wide range of skin care products for children, from brands including Weleda, Madara, and Finnish brand Sophie la Giraffe.
And this is just a small ample of the brands and soaps sold at the store. Why not stop by the store if you’re in Helsinki, and get your groceries, cosmetics, and remedies – not to mention stocking fillers – all in one place?
Speaking of stocking-fillers, PÜR is hosting a Christmas party tomorrow on Tuesday, December 9th from 4-7pm. I will be talking about natural cosmetics and giving some tips on my favorites between 4.15 and 5.15pm; Virpi Mikkonen, the author of the Kiitos Hyvää cook book, which came out last week, will take the stage at 5.15pm. I had the pleasure of being invited to her book launch, where I had the chance to sample some sugar and gluten free desserts, and I must say it was a joyous experience for the eyes and taste buds alike!
In charge of the evening’s auditory pleasure is the sympathetic Kari Tapiiri. You will also receive a 10% discount for your purchases (15% for purchases over €100), as well as the chance to receive a surprise gift!
See you tomorrow at PÜR Kamppi! Ho ho ho!
