These products are part of my daily routine, and they are incredibly effective. Our skin has an amazing capability to reflect our internal and mental well-being, or lack thereof. External care is still important, however. Quality products and good skin care routines provide visible results \u2013 I\u2019ve seen this with clients as well as with my own skin. The latest, rather surprising, results come from my recent study on atopic skin care, which you\u2019ll be hearing more about very soon. Before that, however, let\u2019s look at this weekend\u2019s shopping list, and some must-haves from Naturelle.<\/p>\n

Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

I wrote about oil-cleansing the other day, as you may recall. There\u2019s no going back to foam cleansers as far as I\u2019m concerned, not after switching to creams, oils, and balms. My skin is smoother and less clogged, and my skin tone better than it was before. A muslin cloth or a konjac sponge dipped in hot water is a great way to enhance a face wash without doing mechanical damage to the skin. I\u2019m absolutely crazy about all of Tata\u2019s products; they have an unusually high concentration of active ingredients; the packages are beautiful enough to use as ornaments; and I also have a deep respect for the company and its rare determination to be self-sufficient, which requires no small amount of talent and careful planning.<\/p>\n

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Tata\u2019s flower-jelly mask is definitely my favorite Cinderella product. Thanks to willow bark extract, the mask brightens, calms, refreshes and smooths out the skin; it is also gentle enough not to cause redness, and is therefore perfect as a pre-party, insta-glow fix. Once dry, the Jello-like mask creates a lifting film on the skin, extracting impurities and sebum from the skin, without drying it out. This is about as natural as a facelift can get.<\/p>\n

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Full Strength*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not on your way to a party, I would recommend Juice Beauty\u2019s professional grade fruit acid peel. If your skin is at all sensitive, I suggest going for the Sensitive version \u2013 Full Strength is the real deal, and contains potent AHA acids (glycolic acid, lactic acid) that will cause burning, stinging, and redness. It also contains juice fruits, willow extract, soothing aloe vera, vitamin C, and retinyl palmitate, or vitamin A. The peel is excellent for repairing sun damaged skin, discoloration, wrinkles, and dull skin. Make sure to use a toner, serum, and oil afterwards \u2013 otherwise you\u2019ll be doing your skin a disservice.<\/p>\n

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

These brightening bamboo pads are definitely one of my favorites, and they too are excellent for discoloration, wrinkles, and dull or lifeless skin. If you have thin or sensitive skin and can\u2019t use fruit acid peels, these pads, which contain mild fruit acids from fruit juices and extracts, are a great alternative treatment. Sugar cane, vitamin B3, and licorice root help to lighten discoloration, while cucumber extract soothes the skin. The pads can be incorporated into a daily, month-long regimen, for example, or used once or twice a week. A limited-edition travel pack<\/a> is available at Naturelle.<\/p>\n

Suki Correct Coverage Concealer*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Suki\u2019s concealer is still the best under-eye concealer I know of. As a testament to how happy I am with the product, let it be known that I have already hit pan on mine. I have the concealer in the shade Buttercream<\/em>, but Honey<\/em> would be better for tanned skin or very dark circles.<\/p>\n

Neal\u2019s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Elixir*<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never come across a product by Neal\u2019s Yard Remedies that I didn\u2019t like. Trying to describe how I feel about the Wild Rose products is therefore rather difficult. I love them. They are effective, and their consistencies are almost magical. The Wild Rose Beauty Elixir is unlike any other serum I out there; it\u2019s not an oil, but it\u2019s definitely not a cream either. It leaves the skin feeling beautiful and satiny. Depending on your skin type, the elixir can be used on its own in the mornings, and with a bit of Wild Rose Beauty Balm on top at night. My newest love in the Wild Rose collection is this gorgeous rose-scented, soft pink, jelly-like oil. The body elixir makes the skin silky soft, and gives it a light sheen. I know what I\u2019ll be using to oil my skirt-clad thighs this summer. I wrote a post on the Elixir a while back, and it is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
