I\u2019m sitting here, longingly staring out at the greyness outside my window. Even the spire of the Agricola church is shrouded in mist. I wish the sun would come back. It\u2019s made its power known again: a few days of clear blue skies have made a whole winter spent in Helsinki more palatable. But there\u2019s light at the end of the tunnel \u2013spring begins officially in March, right? And in less than a month, I\u2019ll be traveling to London, and you\u2019ll get to tag along! I\u2019ll tell you more about that later.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m so glad I had the foresight to photograph this hand cream by Patyka<\/a>* when the sun was still shining. Light and shade are the best props, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n

The cream (like the packages of many other natural cosmetics) is almost too beautiful to be hidden away in the bathroom cupboard, and as I use it several times a day, I\u2019ve decided to call it a beautiful addition to my everyday d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

The base is borrowed from Patyka\u2019s cult product, and my personal favorite, the Huile Absolute oil<\/a>*, and its scent is indeed wonderfully familiar. The cream contains rose-hip oil with renewing and strengthening omega fatty-acids, softening wheatgerm oil, white lily to prevent discoloration and reduce redness, and comfrey to soothe and repair chapped or cracked skin and cuticles.<\/p>\n

The cream doesn\u2019t absorb super quickly, but it also doesn\u2019t leave your hands feeling greasy. It\u2019s a perfect hand cream, I think, that can even be used at work during the winter which, in my case at least, leaves the hands and cuticles bone-dry and screaming for moisture at the smallest contact with water. Taking a moment to rub the product in is a nice bit of everyday aromatherapy, too, and I can\u2019t help but stop and sniff its lovely scent on my hands.<\/p>\n
