Gwyneth Paltrow\u2019s<\/strong> wellness themed lifestyle website, Goop<\/a>, is one of my favorite things in the vast world of the interwebz<\/em>. In fact, this permanently glowing beauty is one of my favorite people in general \u2013 due in no small part to our similar background with Asthanga yoga, and our shared passion for natural cosmetics.<\/p>\n

I ordered Gwyneth and Julia Turshen\u2019s<\/strong> cookbook It\u2019s All Good<\/em> a couple of weeks ago. What inspired me was Goop\u2019s annual detox month<\/a>, which was bursting with brilliant recipes. As a consequence my expectations for the book were high. When Amazon<\/a> finally shipped the book home to me, I was so excited, I could barely contain myself (to be honest, I didn\u2019t).<\/p>\n

The book has begun to fill up with sticky notes, and there are enough untried recipes to last me for a year. What I love most about the book, is that there\u2019s something in it for everyone: vegan and gluten free; fish, meat, and poultry. The recipes sound delicious, and it goes without saying that they\u2019re all healthy and nutritious.<\/p>\n

My own philosophy of food is similar to Gwyneth\u2019s: I don\u2019t set any strict rules for myself, and while I do value purity and nourishment in general, I sometimes pig out on junk food, as well. I trust my body to tell me when it\u2019s time for me to put down the sandwich, and get back on track.<\/p>\n

I love eating out at lunchtime, but I find Helsinki\u2019s offerings fairly abysmal, as far as truly nutritious and good food is concerned. And as eating at the Sis Deli on Pursimiehenkatu every<\/em> day can get a bit boring, I\u2019ve begun having lunch at home more often. In fact, the first recipe I tried from Gwyneth\u2019s book was delicious enough that I might just have my lunch sorted out for the next hundred days: perfectly cooked quinoa, ceps fried in olive oil, shallots, garlic, fresh thyme, and rocket. Yum!<\/p>\n
