Do any of you suffer from back-flakage \u2013 especially in the winter? You know, the small kind flakiness you can\u2019t really see, but which feels like, well \u2013 flaky<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The skin of my back is prone to flaking as soon as I forget to exfoliate. And not just any exfoliate will do; numerous empirical studies have shown sea salt scrubs to be the worst enemies of back-flakage.<\/p>\n

The Geranium and Orange Body Polish<\/a> from Neal\u2019s Yard Remedies has been my favorite for a couple of years now. The salt in the peel causes a pleasant stinging sensation, while shea and cacao butter provide just enough nourishment to skip moisturizing my back after I get out of the shower.<\/p>\n

To change things up a bit, I thought I\u2019d try another salt scrub from Neal\u2019s Yard: the Seaweed & Salt Body Scrub<\/a>. Oh my.<\/em> I think this detox bomb is my new favorite \u2013 the flaking was gone after the first try! This will also smoothen and soften coarse glutes, and if you\u2019re prone to folliculitis after sugaring, this will sort that out, as well.<\/p>\n

The scrub contains smoothing and cleansing kaolin, unrefined sea salt, and algae extract, while propolis extract, ginger oil, frankincense oil, black pepper oil, and citrus oils help to fight blemishes and infections. To maximize the product\u2019s effect, apply it to dry skin and scrub well, and finish by rinsing off.<\/p>\n

This scrub has been added onto my must-have list; I must<\/em> have<\/em> a new tube waiting in the cupboard before I run out of the current one.<\/p>\n
