We\u2019ll be dreaming marshmallow soft and sweet dreams in Punavuori this Christmas.<\/p>\n

Romppu and I have decided to stay in the Christmas-quiet city this year, as well. Although we do love the holiday itself, my family doesn\u2019t care much for insanity that comes with it. For us, Christmastime is about slowing down, and all the fussing, forced socializing with relatives, and sitting in crowded trains don\u2019t exactly support that notion. So I\u2019ve stocked up the fridge with all sorts of goodies, pulled out my woolen socks and blankets, and sorted out my DVD collection. Besides possibly crashing a home theater<\/a> on Kapteeninkatu before Boxing Day, which is when my family is coming to visit, I don\u2019t intend to move a muscle.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0228\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The marshmallow dreams will be provided by Supermood\u2019s<\/a> recently launched Beauty Sleep<\/strong> collection, which I\u2019ve been meaning to introduce on the blog.<\/p>\n

The first three products in the collection are the Absolute Bliss night serum<\/a>, the Anti-Wrinkle Pillow<\/a>, and the Sweet Pillow Scent<\/a>. New products will be introduced to the collection next year, and I promise they will be pretty sweet, too.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0222\"<\/a><\/p>\n

“Absolute Bliss”<\/a> is a fairly accurate description of this amazing serum, which really does<\/em> smell of marshmallows, renewing and rejuvenating the skin over-night. Finnish birch sap and pomegranate extract help fight free radicals, while argan oil renews, repairs and smoothes out the skin. The primary ingredient of the product is sea fennel stem cell extract, and boy does it pack a punch. Sea fennel is an adaptogen, which means that it can regenerate despite stressors or harsh living conditions. It helps to even out discoloration, scarring, and, by stimulating skin cell renewal, evens out pock-marks caused by blemishes. The serum also helps to revive dull or stressed skin, with hyaluronic acid binding moisture to smooth out wrinkles and lines.<\/p>\n

The consistency of the night serum is right up my alley: thin and satiny, but still rich. I recommend starting with a generous helping of toner, before applying the serum on the face and neck. If you like, you can finish off with a few drops of rose hip oil or argan oil.<\/p>\n

The mysterious Beauty Pillow<\/a> has gained a lot of attention, and I must say I was dying of curiosity myself. The inclusion of such an unusual product in a beauty collection is a bold move \u2013 but not a bad one.<\/p>\n

The pillow was designed by Environ<\/em>, a South African pharmaceutical skin care brand, whose pioneering work in the skin care branch is without compare, synthetic though its products may be. The pillow was originally designed for patients recovering from plastic surgery, but its brilliance has made it popular even amongst us natural beauty proponents.<\/p>\n

The cup-like shaping of the pillow eases the pressure put on the face during sleep, thus helping to reduce puffiness and wrinkling around the eyes; the face rests more naturally. The pillow comes with a satin case, which can also be covered with a normal pillow case. I prefer to sleep like a princess and therefore use the satin one.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0199\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Supermood\u2019s execution of its 360-degrees type of holistic philosophy is perfect. The Finnish organic cosmetics brand Frantsila<\/strong> has designed an aromatherapeutic pillow scent for Supermood, which can be sprayed onto the bed linens at bedtime to get the most out of your beauty sleep. Relaxing lavender, vetiver, and orange essential oils promote deeper and more restful sleep. I find the scent lovely but a bit mild, but then, I think my preoccupation with aromatherapy has made me develop a higher tolerance for fragrances.<\/p>\n
