Some like giving gifts that are atmospheric and pampering in nature; others prioritize practicality. Today’s gift idea – a brightening treatment to banish the polar night blues – should be perfect for both.

I’ve written about the excellent price to quality ratio of Madara’s Time Miracle products before. The high quality of the products makes them a great starter kit to natural cosmetics, and I’m sure long-time users wouldn’t mind finding this super trio in their stockings, either. Add the winner of the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards, Madara’s Brightening Peel Mask with AHA acids, to the deal and you can kiss good bye to your polar night worries. (Psst, this is the most affordable AHA peel on the market.)

The Time Miracle products use Finnish birch sap instead of water, which increases their potency. The Birch sap has been combined with six vegetable extracts, a complex to which Madara has given the name Galium7. The complex has been thoroughly researched in collaboration with the University of Latvia, and the results are very impressive, indeed. Studies found, for example, that the Galium7 complex protects the skin from free radicals, as well as increasing the amount of dermal cells and collagen reserves.

I especially recommend slipping the Time Miracle serum as a stocking-filler; it has the consistency of a luxury product, including a silicone-like texture, but uses only natural products and is therefore silicone-free. This serum provides the hydration I so often go on about and which so many of us tend to forget about; water-based hydration, which is the foundation of beautiful and vibrant looking skin (although the serum uses the more potent birch sap instead of water). The wonderful consistency of the serum evens out lines and firms the skin, making it silky smooth to the touch. It is suitable for all skin types.

I also suggest getting the Time Miracle day cream, which is perfect for combating the drying effects of air conditioning and freezing temperatures. The fast absorbing cream protects the skin from free radicals and environmental stress; it acts as a sealant for the nourishing ingredients of the serum, and can be used as a primer for makeup. The light-reflecting mica-pigments provide a natural glow to the skin.

Last, but definitely not the least, is the eye cream. I know far too many women who skip this step. The skin around the eyes is thin and sensitive, and due to the lack of a protective hydrolipidic film or sebum glands, the moisture in this area tends to evaporate more easily. This is why we need gentle and caring products especially designed for the skin around our eyes. The consistency of the Time Miracle cream is perfect – light but with plenty of moisture to keep those under-eye bags away, plus light reflecting pigments to banish the polar darkness.

You have all got an eye cream and a serum in your bathroom cabinet, right? If not, now is the perfect time to get out your pens and write to Santa!
